Norfolk County Council is pleased to be working in partnership with Chapelfield Shopping Centre to provide Sunday services from four park and ride sites this Christmas and to extend weekday opening to support the extended shop opening hours.
Sunday services
Sunday services will operate from the Airport, Postwick, Harford and Thickthorn park and ride sites. Buses will run every 10-15 minutes with the first bus leaving the site at 0930 and the last buses departing from Norwich Bus Station at 1730. The last Sunday service will be on Sunday 28 December.
Evening services
Throughout December, the Airport, Postwick and Thickthorn sites have services extended to 2030 every night (not Sundays - see above) until 23 December and on the 29 and 30 December for the sales.
The traditional Thursday evening late shopping night services will be operating until 2130 on 27 November at Airport, Postwick, Harford and Thickthorn, with Costessey and Sprowston park and ride sites extended until 2030 only.
From December the Airport, Postwick and Thickthorn park and ride Thursday evening bus services will operate until 2230. Harford operating hours for extended Thursday evening services will remain as 2130 and 2030 for Sprowston and Costessey.
Holiday closures
All sites will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Prices
All day parking costs only £3.30, and anyone arriving after 1230 pays just £1.60 per vehicle. Shoppers can even take advantage of the festive Shop & Go free delivery service back to the Harford and Thickthorn sites.
Customers can pick up a leaflet at their local library, Tourist Information Centre or the park and ride site. Alternatively, you can visit our website www.norfolk.gov.uk/parkandride or call 0844 800 8003
