Have a go at a range of different sports and games, from archery to martial arts, football to croquet, at a free ‘Sports Fayre’ at Sheringham High School this weekend.
The Sports Fayre on Saturday, 7 June, from 10am to 3pm is being run by North Norfolk District Council with the help of Sport England and Active Norfolk, and will give people a chance to experience all sorts of different sporting activities that are available in North Norfolk. The event is open for free, and parking at the school will also be free.
Sports centres and coaches will have displays at the event, alongside Lloyds Pharmacy (sponsors of the Fit Together programme in Norfolk) and the North Norfolk District Council mobile gym.
Record-holding athlete Paul Evans (winner of the 1996 Chicago marathon and holder of European and British half marathon and 10,000 metres records) will be paying a visit and holding a workshop and question-and-answer session.
