Health and social care workers in Norfolk have been recognised for doing their bit to help raise the standard of care in Norfolk!
At a special event held recently at Dragon Hall in Norwich staff from twenty-seven organisations from the independent, voluntary and public sector throughout Norfolk received an award for achieving an NVQ qualification over the last 12 months.
The event also recognised the hundreds of social carers across the independent, voluntary and statutory sectors in Norfolk who achieved NVQ qualifications, ranging from Level 2 to RMA over the last 12 months but were not able to attend the celebration.
Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support Ltd organised the event which was sponsored by Norfolk County Council and TCHC (Eastern Region Train to Gain Brokers).
Hazel Evans, a director of Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support Ltd opened the event and presentations were made by Rose Lavin, director of TCHC with Harold Bodmer, Director of Adult Social Services delivering a speech.
Chris Mowle, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services said: “Many care workers in Norfolk are committed to providing the best possible care and this hard work often goes unrecognised. It's great to have an event where staff from the voluntary, private and public sector can all come together and recognise the hard work and quality care they all provide.”
