North Norfolk District Council is on the lookout for heroes of community spirit who might merit civic awards for their work in the last year.
The Chairman of NNDC now gives out civic awards once a year at the Council’s Annual Meeting, which this year will take place at 6pm on Wednesday, 16 April.
They are given to recognise any aspect of community or voluntary work, whether it be devoting years of service to the local community, or acts of great generosity or selflessness that have helped neighbours. This year’s theme is ‘promoting community spirit’.
There are two categories: those under the age of 21, and those aged 21 or over. Nomination forms are available by calling Kirsty Read on 01263 516017, by emailing kirsty.read@north-norfolk.gov.uk or by download from NNDC’s website: www.northnorfolk.org. Nominations must be received by 29 February, 2008.
